Quotes

For a guy who has experienced his fair share of mysteries, one mystery I still can't figure out is why some people come into our lives. Why some people go, and others become a part of you. Some friendships feel like they'll last forever. And others end far too soon. Not every friendship is meant to last a lifetime. What does last forever is the pain when that person is gone.

Barry Allen: That's him.
Iris West: Oh. He's handsome in a square-jawwed Oliver Queen kind of way.
Barry Allen: For real?
Iris West: Babe, you know I've only got eyes for you.

Barry Allen: But you guys have never even mentioned his name.
Caitlin Snow: That's because Hartley had a... challenging personality.
Cisco Ramon: Which she means is he was mostly a jerk, but, every once in a while, he could be a dick.

The Flash: Lisa was safe. Why did you do that?
Leonard Snart: He broke my sister's heart. Only fair I break his.

Jay's death took its toll, left scars on all of us, some more than others. And so to try and keep my mind off thoughts of the surreal other life I experienced that wasn't my own, I kept running, waiting for some other meta-human threat to rear its ugly head and distract me from the frustration I was feeling; and, as fate would have it, I did not have to wait long.

#8

Cisco Ramon: It's not Zoom. It's me.
Barry Allen: What do you mean it's you?
Cisco Ramon: It's like right now I'm Anakin Skywalker. I got the midi-chlorians. I've got the goods. The force is strong with me. That is something I can feel, but if I start opening breaches into other worlds, doing all this other crazy stuff Reverb was doing, then... what if this is how I become Vader?
Barry Allen: Dude, you're never gonna become Vader.
Cisco Ramon: You don't know that. That is what happened to Reverb. He learned how to use his abilities, and when he felt that, when he felt that power, he succumbed... to the dark side.

Barry Allen: How do you guys say "see ya later" over there?
H.R. Wells: Ah.
H.R. Wells: Until next communion.

#10

Barry Allen: How you doing?
Iris West-Allen: They say the first year of marriage is always the hardest, but I never thought my husband being on trial for murder would be one of the challenges.

Barry Allen: How is it we live together, work together, sleep in the same bed together, but it still feels like we don't spend any real time as husband and wife?
Dr. Harry Wells: Allen, West-Allen, Cortex, now!
Iris West-Allen: I have no idea.

Barry Allen: I just noticed you don't smile too much.
Caitlin Snow: My once promising career in bioengineering is over, my boss is in a wheelchair for life, the explosion that put you in a coma also killed my fiancé; so, this blank expression kind of feels like the way to go.

Caitlin Snow: It looks like you had a distal radius fracture.
Barry Allen: Had?
Caitlin Snow: It's healed. In three hours.
Barry Allen: How is that even possible?
Caitlin Snow: We don't know. Yet.
Cisco Ramon: You really need to learn how to stop.

I thought being the fastest man alive would make my life easier, that I could outrun anything. Turns out no one can outrun pain. Life is tragic but it's also precious, and sweet, and extraordinary. And the only way I know to honor my mom's life is to keep running.

#19

It doesn't matter if you're the slowest kid in gym class or the fastest man alive. Every one of us is running. Being alive MEANS running - running from something, running to something or... some one - and no matter how fast you are, there are just some things you can't outrun. Some things always manage to catch up to you.

Barry Allen: Yeah... I'll do my best.

Eddie Thawne: Allen, you really need a car.
Barry Allen: I usually manage on foot okay.

Barry Allen: I mean, this is crazy. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people in Central City and, out of everyone you could have picked to rob, you pick me.
Mugger: What, are you sick? Money. Now.
Barry Allen: I just... You're really gonna be kicking yourself, man. I mean, if there was an Olympics for bad luck, you didn't just medal, pal. You Michael Phelps-ed.

#27

Barry Allen: You know, to be honest, not exactly the partnership I thought it would be.
Felicity Smoak: Oh, did he really do the thing with the arrows?
Barry Allen: You knew he was gonna shoot me?
Felicity Smoak: Well, it is practically impossible to tell when Oliver's making a joke.

#29

Barry Allen: Who are you?
Reverse-Flash: You know who I am, Barry.
Barry Allen: I don't know who you are.
Reverse-Flash: But you do, Barry. We've been at this a long time, you and I, but I'm always one step ahead. It is your destiny to lose to me, Flash, just as it was your mother's destiny to die that night.

#30

The people we admire aren't always who we'd like them to be.

#32

Clarissa Stein: Well, after a year apart, I'm not letting him out of my sight. S.T.A.R. Labs did quite a few tests on Martin, didn't they - and they said he was fine?
Barry Allen: Yeah. Why? Is something wrong?
Clarissa Stein: He just seems a little different is all.
Barry Allen: Different how?
Clarissa Stein: He's been asking for pizza. Martin despises pizza.

Barry Allen: I-I just haven't a chance yet.
Joe West: You got sidetracked, you mean?
Barry Allen: No, Joe, you can't be mad.
Joe West: I'm not mad. But I am curious. I mean, you were acting so weird at the crime scene.
Barry Allen: I always act weird.
Joe West: Okay. Weirder.

#35

Eddie Thawne: Allen.
Barry Allen: Yeah, Eddie, I...
Eddie Thawne: Stay away from Iris.

Eddie Thawne: You know what the worst part, Barry. I thought you and I were

Henry Allen: Wow. You gotta tell me. What does it feel like when you're running down the street like a bat out of hell?
Barry Allen: There's no feeling like it.
Henry Allen: I bet. Actually, you're all heroes in my book, especially you, Dr. Wells. Thank you for everything that you've done for my son.
Dr. Harrison Wells: Well, your son is an extraordinary man, Dr. Allen, and I will do everything in my power to ensure Barry's future.

#37

Barry Allen: Joe, you had your suspicions about Wells from the very beginning. You thought that he might be the man in yellow.
Joe West: Except the blood from your house didn't match him.
Barry Allen: All right, so maybe he's not the Reverse-Flash. But you think he knows what happened that night. He may have the key to getting my dad out of prison.

#38

Barry Allen: Another bee attack. Folston Tech.
Eddie Thawne: I'll see where Joe is.

Caitlin Snow: This isn't possible.
Cisco Ramon: Caitlin, I ran the DNA test twice. It's a perfect match.
Joe West: This body is the real Harrison Wells.
Caitlin Snow: If this is Dr. Wells, then who have we been working for this whole time?

arry Allen: Dr. McGee said that after the accident, Wells became a completely different person. It's because he is a different person.

Barry Allen: I... I mean, what is he doing here? W-why did he come here?

#42

Barry Allen: What happened to Grodd?
Caitlin Snow: We don't know. After the Particle Accelerator exploded, I went down to check on him, and his cage was empty.
Joe West: So he could have been affected by the same energy that hit Barry?
Cisco Ramon: When the dark matter hit Grodd, all the drugs and serums that Eiling injected him with could've activated. Maybe the Accelerator explosion created a meta-gorilla. I think we know what happens when a super-intelligent ape who's pissed off at humans escapes captivity.
Caitlin Snow: Cisco's right about the first part.

My name is Barry Allen, and I am the fastest man alive. When I was a child, I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world, I am an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly, I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me. And one day I'll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father. That day is today.

#45

Barry Allen: We're gonna need something else, too.
Cisco Ramon: Really? And what's that? 'Cause I don't know about you guys, but I'm not at all interested in helping you get yourself killed.
Barry Allen: I need you to build a time machine.
Cisco Ramon: Go on.

#46

My name is Barry Allen, and I am the fastest man alive. When I was a child I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder, then an accident made me the impossible, and I become the Flash. I used my powers to find the man responsible for my mother's death. I thought I would finally get justice for my family, but I failed. It's been six months since the Singularity. I'm on my own now. Decided it's better that way. Keeps the people I care about safe. There's only one thing I can do now.

#47

I wish you woulda just told us you lost your helmet. Would have saved us all a headache.

#48

Barry Allen: Fifty-two breaches in Central City and the biggest one just happens to be in our basement.
Cisco Ramon: We need a name for it.
Caitlin Snow: It's not a pet, Cisco.

Everyone secretly thinks they've figured out what their life is gonna be like, but what no one ever considers is that life has its own plans for you, whether you like them or not, and so you're left with a choice. You can either embrace the change and move forward, or fight it and be left behind.

#50

You think this is easy for me? The guy in there looks, moves, sounds exactly like the guy that drove a knife through my mother's heart. I have to resist the urge to kill him. I'm trying to get past that, okay? You shooting him, that's... that's not helping.

#51

Iris West: You look just like him.
Dr. Harry Wells: I'm guessing my counterpart did something to offend her as well?
Cisco Ramon: Her fiancé died because of him.

Barry Allen: Aren't you the one who told me life isn't about playing defense? Sometimes the only way to succeed is by working the offense.
Joe West: I think at the time we were talking about your high school football tryouts.
Barry Allen: You said you'd never bring that up again.

#53

The Flash: What do you want from me?
Zoom: Everything.
The Flash: You want to be me? Is that it? You want to be a hero?
Zoom: Heroes die.
The Flash: Only if you can catch them.

#54

Dr. Harry Wells: Before I left Earth-2, I worked on a serum to dampen Zoom's speed. All we would need is for Ramon to develop a weapon to deliver it.
Caitlin Snow: Oh, great, that could be this year's cold gun. Maybe another criminal can get it, and then we'd have Sergeant Slow.
Cisco Ramon: I would never let that happen. Sergeant Slow is a terrible name.

The Flash: Did you guys see that?
Cisco Ramon: See him catch a bolt of lightning with his demonic claws? Yeah, saw that.

Henry Allen: Iris showed me what happened with Zoom. That was hard to watch. I can only imagine what that must have been like for you.
Barry Allen: He showed everyone in Central City that their hero wasn't good enough to stop him.
Henry Allen: Well, that's certainly what it looked like. Was he right? Your body's healed, Barry, and, yet, here you are feeling the shame of losing.
Barry Allen: I can't stop him. I know it, he knows it, and now everyone in this city knows it, too. They don't believe in me anymore, Dad.

#57

Barry Allen: Wow. Nice new digs. Also, I just noticed, no sleeves. Don't you get cold?

#58

Oliver Queen: I spent the better part of five years on an island in the North China Sea. I don't get cold, Barry.

#59

Barry Allen: Wow. Nice new digs. Also, I just noticed, no sleeves. Don't you get cold?

#60

Oliver Queen: I spent the better part of five years on an island in the North China Sea. I don't get cold, Barry.

#61

Joe West: You okay?
Barry Allen: Yeah, no, uh, nothin' a little meta-human regenerative healing capabilities won't cure.

#62

Hey, Turtle. So you want to know my new definition of irony? Now you... are our most prized possession.

#63

I didn't realize roses were so flammable.

#64

Iris West: Barry, I wish a year ago you had told me the truth.
Barry Allen: So, what, you think that I should just tell her?
Iris West: I think that if you are serious about being with her, you have to.

Cisco Ramon: You know, you're a great superhero.
Barry Allen: Thanks.
Cisco Ramon: A really great superhero.
Barry Allen: Thank you.
Cisco Ramon: But, do you think it's a good idea, when you're fighting crime, to bring a date?

The Flash: Time to send you back where you belong.
Eobard Thawne: We'll meet again soon, Flash.
The Flash: I know. And every time, I'll be ready for you.

#67

Barry Allen: Yeah, he just found the best dad he could wish for.
Joe West: Oh, you say that now. You didn't always think that.
Barry Allen: Well, you were pretty strict, that's for sure, but strict isn't always a bad thing, especially when you know it's coming from love.

#68

Barry Allen: Caitlin.
Killer Frost: I haven't heard that name in a long time.
Barry Allen: That is your name, isn't it? Your real name? Please, look... I know you. Don't do this.
Killer Frost: If you knew me at all, you would know that I hate the name Caitlin. I'm Killer Frost.

#69

I'm-I'm sorry. He got frisky with you? No, no, no, no, no. Okay, I'm gonna have to find this guy and give him a piece of my mind.

#70

You may not have been struck by lightning over here like I was, but today you risked your life to save somebody you didn't even know. That's a hero, Barry.

#71

Now, I don't know you and you don't know me, but I can tell you that today I... I did things that I never thought possible, because I needed to prove to my wife and to myself that I could. Now, if I can do the impossible today, so can you. I'm just Barry Allen, but you're The Flash.

#72

Dr. Harry Wells: Your husband tells us you've been tracking Zoom.
Iris West-Allen: Yeah. I've been trying to. Why?
Cisco Ramon: We need to find his lair.
Dr. Harry Wells: Lair?
Cisco Ramon: He's a bad guy; I'm calling it a lair.

Dr. Harrison Wells: So to reach escape velocity, you're gonna have to go... that fast.
Barry Allen: Well, that fast is impossible. I can promise you that.
Dr. Harrison Wells: Uh-uh, uh-uh, "Nothing in life is promised except death."
Barry Allen: Edgar Allan Poe?
Dr. Harrison Wells: Kanye West.

Sometimes terrible things happen to us when we're children, things that can define who we become, whether we want them to or not. Some of us become stronger. The people who took me in helped me heal and move past everything that happened. They are responsible for who I've become today, but I know that I'm one of the lucky ones. Not everyone gets that kind of support. Without it, I don't know where I would've ended up, or what I could've become.

#76

Dr. Harry Wells: I thought, you know, when you... when we closed the breaches, that I could just forget about everything I've done, but I can't. But I realize what I can do. You are gonna get your speed back, Allen, and I'm gonna help you do that.
Barry Allen: How?
Dr. Harry Wells: By creating another Particle Accelerator explosion.

#77

Let's do it. I wanna do it. One of the cops that Zoom killed tonight, he had a son, same age I was when Mom was murdered. And now, another kid has to grow up without one of their parents because The Flash wasn't there to stop that monster. I left this city unprotected by giving up my powers to Zoom. I enabled him to rule this Earth. I need my powers back. Let's do it. Let's set off the Particle Accelerator.

#78

Barry Allen: I'm talking to the Speed Force.
Barry Allen: Isn't that like saying I'm having a conversation with gravity, or light, or...

#79

Tony, look, you were never my favorite person, but let's end this so you can finally rest.

#80

Barry Allen: So, how did you know?
Dr. Tina McGee: Your real identity?
Barry Allen: Yeah.
Dr. Tina McGee: Come on, Barry, I'm a scientist. We're paid to be perceptive - and you're always a little too well-informed when things go pear-shaped in this city.

#81

Cisco Ramon: Okay, I'm gonna say it. Um, we don't think he's being just a little too...
Iris West: Overconfident?
Cisco Ramon: Yeah.
Iris West: Yeah, maybe it was his time in the Speed Force. I mean, he's acting like he's invincible now or something.
Henry Allen: Yeah, like nothing fazes him anymore, which isn't...
Dr. Harry Wells: Realistic, no. Somebody needs to talk to him before letting his guard down gets him hurt or worse.

#82

Barry Allen: Wait, Cisco, you're not gonna help us?
Cisco Ramon: Oh, that reminds me. Who the hell is this? Huh? You brought some stranger into my lab and told them I helped The Flash.
Barry Allen: Cisco.
Cisco Ramon: Uh-uh. I don't know you, string bean.

Joe West: Oh, I get it.
Barry Allen: What?
Joe West: No. I do not approve.
Iris West: Hi, Barry.
Barry Allen: Hey.
Iris West: Dad.
Joe West: Iris. You think it's a good idea, dating someone I work with?
Iris West: It's just a lunch. And truthfully, I wasn't even sure you still worked here.

Felicity Smoak: There's a whole new guy at work that you didn't even know about?
Barry Allen: Yeah. And he's worked there for almost a year. And he doesn't like me very much, apparently.
Felicity Smoak: Well, that's impossible. Everybody likes Barry Allen. You're like pudding. Everybody likes pudding.

#85

Barry Allen: I was actually thinking, um, that maybe it'd be fun if we all went away together for a few days. Just like a little Team Flash vacay.
Iris West: And do what?
Barry Allen: Bond. Reconnect.
Caitlin Snow: You mean like a retreat?
Barry Allen: Nah.
Iris West: With trust exercises?
Cisco Ramon: Epic fail, party of six.

tes
Barry Allen: I'm sorry, guys. Look, I just - we're not acting like a team, and I just wanted things back to how they were. Just fixed.
Cisco Ramon: If you wanted things fixed, maybe you should have gone back in time and stopped my brother from dying.
Barry Allen: You want me to change the time to save Dante?
Cisco Ramon: Why would you do that? It's not like he's your brother.

Barry Allen: Seriously, what the hell were you thinking? You can't just go stepping into the street like that. I mean, you got to use your head.
Wally West: Nothing happened, Barry. Chill out.
Barry Allen: Didn't you even talk to Joe about this?
Wally West: Yeah, so?
Barry Allen: So it clearly didn't help. What would you have done is Jesse wasn't there, huh?
Wally West: I don't know, man.
Barry Allen: Because there's nothing you could've done. Because you don't have powers.
Wally West: Only room in our family for one speedster, Barry?
Barry Allen: Please just stop trying before you get yourself killed.
Wally West: You done?
Barry Allen: Do you have anything to say?
Joe West: No, you pretty much covered it.

#88

Dr. Harry Wells: Who's Alchemy?
Cisco Ramon: Well, Doctor Alchemy is a magic man in a cloak who can somehow restore the powers that people had in Flashpoint.
Jesse Wells: Okay, what's Flashpoint?
Caitlin Snow: That's what we're calling the alternate timeline that Barry created when he went back in time and saved his mom.
Dr. Harry Wells: Oh. So Magenta is another side-effect from your time trip. Genius. Not.
Barry Allen: I don't need to be reminded. Thank you.

Barry Allen: What are you doing?
Iris West: Do these pants make my butt look big?

The Flash: All right, I'm here. It's a bad scene, man.
Cisco Ramon: You should be right on top of it, Barry. What is it?
The Flash: It's a... monster? Guys, did you hear me? There is a monster in Central City.
Cisco Ramon: What are we talking? Yao Ming size or Andre the Giant?
The Flash: No, it's, like, an actual monster.

The Flash: It's over, Alchemy.
Doctor Alchemy: Over? You have no idea what's about to begin.

#92

The Flash: Who are you?
Savitar: Savitar. The God of Speed.

#93

Joe West: They took Julian to County General. He's still out cold. How hard did you hit him?
Barry Allen: I don't know. I didn't mean to knock him out.

#94

Barry Allen: Cisco. Hey, man, um, what Caitlin said...
Cisco Ramon: Was she lying?
Barry Allen: No. Um...
Cisco Ramon: You're sorry? That you killed my brother? 'Cause he was here. He was alive until you created Flashpoint, until you did this.
Barry Allen: I know, man.
Cisco Ramon: I don't even know how to feel right now. All I know is Caitlin is out there, and we need to find her. Can we do that?
Barry Allen: Yeah.

Hey, Supergirl! Let's finally see who's faster.

#96

Barry Allen: How you feeling?
Jay Garrick: Not too bad for a guy that got beat up by a myth.

#97

Barry Allen: Holy winter wonderland. Took the words right out of my mouth.
Iris West: Well, I guess Earth-19's Christmas is just like ours.
H.R. Wells: Some traditions are multi-versal.

Barry Allen: Where do you come down on a fixed or ever-changing future?
H.R. Wells: Well, I think that a man often meets his destiny on the very road he takes to avoid it.
Barry Allen: Meaning?
H.R. Wells: Meaning... the future is fixed.

#99

Solovar: After you die, your friends will follow you into the black.
The Flash: We'll see.

#100

I think that sometimes, the only way to stop bad things from happening is to just get rid of what's causing them.

#101

Barry Allen: We're gonna need all the help we can get. Can you talk to Joe, see if he can rally CCPD?
Iris West: Yeah, yeah, I'll let him know that an army of sentient gorillas is about to storm the city. He's gonna love that.

The Flash: I'm gonna kill you.
Savitar: If you had the strength to end my life, you would have done it in the future. But Barry Allen doesn't kill. He's the good guy. The boy Joe raised. The man Iris loves. You have everything. And deserves none of it. I'm gonna destroy this city like I did in the future, so you can see the truth, Barry. And then, you'll treat me like a god.
The Flash: You're not a god!

#103

Kara Danvers: When it comes to buddies, pal, you are the best!
Barry Allen: I love you more than the lightning bolt I wear on my chest!
Kara Danvers: If you're ever sad, I'll bring you flowers!
Barry Allen: You can list "soprano" as one of your powers.
Kara Danvers: If you're ever broke...
Barry Allen: ...I got the cash!
Kara Danvers: On my couch...
Barry Allen: ...you're welcome to crash.
Kara Danvers: And if you ever need a hand...
Barry Allen: ...I'll be there in a flash!
Kara Danvers: Barry!
Barry Allen: That was funny.

#104

The Flash: I don't think that's yours, pal.
Abra Kadabra: Flash.
The Flash: You didn't think I'd want to come meet the newest resident of Iron Heights?
The Flash: No, I assumed that you'd show. I just didn't expect you to be so young, Barry Allen.
The Flash: Now, how do you know who I am?
Abra Kadabra: I'm from the future. You don't believe me? Let's see, uh, 2017. Hmm. How are things going on with your doomed love, Iris West? Or your greatest foe, Savitar?
The Flash: You know Savitar.
Abra Kadabra: I know everything about him, and you.

#105

Cecile Horton: Okay, so, break it down. How did it happen?
Iris West: Um... we were at the apartment, and, um, Barry sang to me. And then he proposed.
Cecile Horton: Oh, my God, that's so romantic. You sing?
Barry Allen: Not as good as Joe.
Joe West: Shut up, Barry.

I'm gonna do something to fix that. You're too good of a superhero to lose those powers.

#107

Barry Allen: You can't give up. Your work on relatistic quantum mechanics and its application to inter-spatial theory to manipulate matter on a subatomic level, it's groundbreaking.
Tracy Brand: I haven't shared that hypothesis with anyone, other than my therapist. Who are you?
H.R. Wells: We're therapists.

#110

Leonard Snart: My guess is the power source is most likely here.
Joe West: Why there?
Leonard Snart: Because it's the deepest part of the facility. And if it's as valuable as you say it is, then the deepest recesses of any facility are usually the most secure.
Cisco Ramon: Hmm. Smart, Snart.
Cisco Ramon: Smart, Snart.
Cisco Ramon: I'm gonna keep hacking away and find out for sure.
Barry Allen: Do you have any idea what else might be down there?
Leonard Snart: Doesn't matter. There are only four rules you need to remember: make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan. Follow my lead and you'll be fine.

Savitar: Fix this.
Cisco Ramon: Fix what? The Speed Force bazooka? I didn't name it. If I didn't name it, I didn't make it. If I didn't make it, I don't know how it works.
Savitar: Oh, you know enough about it to alter what it does.
Cisco Ramon: Oh, I see. So you want me to alter it. Well, what do you want me to alter into? Like, a hair dryer? A waffle maker? Oh, I know. Maybe something that's gonna fix that thin-crust pizza you call a face.

Savitar: An intradimensional quantum splicer.
Cisco Ramon: A splicer.
Savitar: I do have a plan B. I open a time portal, exposing the Speed Force, you shoot me with that, and I become fragmented throughout all of time. The past, present, future. After that, the paradox can't reach me.
Cisco Ramon: You want splice yourself throughout time? Exist in every single moment there ever was?
Savitar: All of us aware and connected through one consciousness. I'll be everywhere - every hour, every minute. And then, I will rule from the Big Bang until the end of the world.
Cisco Ramon: You wanted us to build this thing.
Savitar: Well, why do you think I let you idiots live? Tracy Brand trapped me in the Speed Force in the future. All I had to do was get her to build this a little earlier and have my best friend make all the adjustments.
Cisco Ramon: I'm not your friend.
Savitar: Get... to work, Francesco.
Cisco Ramon: How about I sit on my ass and let you obliterate permanently from existence? How's that sound?

Barry Allen: Iris, it's not like I wanted to leave you. I had to put on a brave face, for everyone. But it was killing me inside. And I think part of why I didn't talk it through with you is I was afraid. I was afraid that you would tell me to stay. And I wouldn't have been strong enough not to.
Iris West: Barry, how do you know what I'm going to say if you don't ask me? I am here to help you, especially when everything seems lost. But you have to let me.
Barry Allen: But sometimes it's not about us. Or the team. Sometimes the weight of the whole city falls on my shoulders, and it's up to me to carry it. I'm the Flash.
Iris West: See, that's what you don't get. When I put this ring on my finger, it wasn't just about you or me anymore. It's about us. You are not the Flash, Barry. We are.

The Flash: I see her.
Caitlin Snow: She's getting away in a Prius.
The Flash: Last time I checked, the Flash is faster than a Prius.

Iris West: Looks like someone tossed this place.
Barry Allen: Yeah. Probably the same guys that hung Dibny off the roof.
Iris West: Why do you think?
Barry Allen: I dunno. Guy like that probably has a long list of people that wanna toss him off rooftops.

Barry Allen: What are you doing?
Cisco Ramon: I wanted to impress him, and now I can't stop.

Barry Allen: Felicity. How'd you get in here?
Felicity Smoak: I literally walked in here. You have... you have no security, you have no alarms, you have nothing on your door. You guys might want to consider something, anything at all.

#118

Joe West: Security guard found him here this morning. We haven't IDed him yet. His personal effects are scattered everywhere, so we didn't find his wallet. But we may find it when we find the rest of his briefcase... and his missing hand.
Barry Allen: Well, judging by that avulsion and the claw marks, I'd say a large predatory animal did this. But whatever it was would have to have four-inch canines, a bite force of 5,000 PSI, and weigh over a ton. That animal doesn't exist.
Joe West: What the hell did this?

#119

Barry Allen: Ouch. All-nighter, huh?
Caitlin Snow: I haven't been this tired since Killer Frost decided to go to Burning Man.

Barry Allen: What about vibing the rest of the bus passengers?
Cisco Ramon: I mean, I-I tried, but, you know, the... the dark matter we released was such a massive space-time event that my energy just reflected back and I ended up vibing myself. I'm pretty sure I relived my own birth. Or was that my death?

Barry Allen: How was Blue Valley?
Wally West: Oh. Self-reflection and a battle with a starfish from outer space gives you perspective.

#122

Barry Allen: There's something I need to tell you. I confronted DeVoe.
Joe West: Oh, come on, Barry. He could get you arrested!
Barry Allen: No, he won't. He wanted me to come.
Caitlin Snow: How do you know?
Barry Allen: Well, for starters, he knows I'm the Flash.
Caitlin Snow: So you were right all along.
Cisco Ramon: We didn't believe you.
Joe West: I'm sorry.
Barry Allen: Don't be. DeVoe's been playing all of us.
Dr. Harry Wells: How?
Barry Allen: It's his powers. He has an intelligence beyond anything we could've imagined. He's orchestrated everything that we've encountered. He's moved us like chess pieces in a game we didn't even know we were playing.
Iris West: How do we stop someone who has super intelligence?
Cisco Ramon: We're pretty smart.
Dr. Harry Wells: Maybe we're not.

Leo Snart: In ten minutes, Red Tornado's gonna bring down this entire facility, and there's nothing we can do to stop that robot.
Oliver Queen: Then we need to reopen the gateway before that happens. Barry, Ray...
Barry Allen: We know. Stop a flying robot somehow.
Oliver Queen: Good. The rest of us will open the breach.
Leo Snart: That's the whole plan?
Barry Allen: Well, as a Snart we know use to say, "Make a plan. Execute the plan. Expect the plan to go off the rails. Throw away the plan."
Leo Snart: Wow. That is... that is terrible advice. I always have a plan, down to the second, so nothing never goes wrong.

#124

Iris West-Allen: This is, like, a lifetime supply of store credit. Why would Rory think that we needed forty toasters?
Barry Allen: He said that there was some kind of fire sale.
Iris West-Allen: He stole them.
Barry Allen: He definitely stole them.

I saw up close what DeVoe did to Becky. To all of them. They... and I... I couldn't do anything except just stand and watch it happen. DeVoe is ruthless. He is not gonna stop until he's taken her powers and her life. He's not gonna go easy on her, so neither can I.

#126

You are my lightning rod, Iris.

#127

Barry Allen: Has anyone seen Ralph today?
Caitlin Snow: No, he's downstairs moving in. He is very nervous.
Dr. Harry Wells: I don't know why.
Cisco Ramon: I don't know why, either. He's a superhero. People with powers are ready for anything.
Cisco Ramon: Ah! Son of a breach!

The Flash: I lost my speed.
Joe West: What do you mean you lost your speed?
Iris West-Allen: Uh, guys, I think I found it.

#129

Null: Didn't see that coming.
The Flash: It's kind of the point.
Null: No, you didn't see that coming. See, I call it my getaway car. 'Cause either the person in there dies, or you let me get away.

#130

Barry Allen: What?
Iris West-Allen: Nothing. It's just... you went out into the field, you had a plan, and... it didn't work.
Barry Allen: But they do for DeVoe. Harry's not wrong. DeVoe's gone over every possible outcome before making his plans.
Iris West-Allen: Which we can't do, and neither can Harry.
Barry Allen: Well, then what are we supposed to do? I mean, you just want us to ad-lib like Ralph wants us to?
Iris West-Allen: Barry, you didn't see it, but when you were gone, Ralph rose to the occasion. He cracked jokes. He thought outside the box. I mean, he got the job done in the way that he knows how. So, the question is, are you upset with Ralph because you think he's screwing around or because he's not following your plan?

The Flash: We need your help on our Earth.
Leo Snart: Right now? I'm kinda busy.
Vibe: Doing what? Dying?
Leo Snart: Touché.

Joe West: What would DeVoe be doing with a solar panel?
Barry Allen: Nothing, on its own. He's gotta be building something.

#133

Barry Allen: What are we dealing with?
Joe West: Uh, first of all, we're trying to determine what was in that vault. Watch your step right here. Uh, there was no drilling, there was no lock picked. And the only thing anyone about what was in the vault was that it was some sort of secretive technology. Also, security guard here was a 24 year old, apparently shot himself.
Iris West-Allen: Wait, a robbery and a suicide?
Joe West: He was newly married. Has an infant at home. This is smelling like some meta madness to me.
Barry Allen: Who else can Kilg%re a retinal scan and Dibny a vault lock?

Cisco Ramon: Okay. So, where shall we start? I'm thinking, if we can gain acc-
Cisco Ramon: -ess to their files...
Barry Allen: Alloy 1771? I mean, that's the only item missing from the inventory files.
Cisco Ramon: Or I can just... stand here and look pretty.

Amunet Black: Like Norvock, I must be on my way.
The Flash: Amunet, no! Hey! You leave, there's no way we can stop DeVoe's satellites.
Joe West: She was never gonna help us. She just wanted her metal.
Amunet Black: Oh... truthfully, I-I did consider it. I did. But a good player knows when to fold. And the professer certainly has a better hand, so... don't try to stop me.
Amunet Black: After all, I am packing.

#136

Amunet Black: Just when I thought I'd considered every option for where Norvock might be skulking, I remembered whenever the fuzz used to be on to one of our deals, I would plant a rumor that it was going down at a false location.
Joe West: Ah, a fake-out to keep "the fuzz" off your tracks.
Amunet Black: Mm!
Caitlin Snow: So that's where we think Norvock is, in the abandoned Reynolds substation.
Iris West-Allen: Underground. That's why the shards weren't registering on the satelite.
Barry Allen: All right, why don't the three of us go get your shards? When we'll be armed and ready to take out DeVoe's satellites.
Caitlin Snow: I'm coming, too. I'll get the cold gun.

Gideon: Hello, Professor DeVoe.
Barry Allen: No, no, no.
Barry Allen: Come on. Come on.
Barry Allen: DeVoe! DeVoe! DeVoe!
Gideon: Initiating Enlightenment protocol.
Clifford DeVoe: Let there be light.
Caitlin Snow: He did it.
Cisco Ramon: The Enlightenment.
Caitlin Snow: What are we gonna do?
Barry Allen: I don't know.

Cisco Ramon: You figure it out yet?
Barry Allen: No. I-I shut down the generator. I can save the hostages, but DeVoe still gets away, and then, you know.
Cisco Ramon: Actually, I meant have you figured out how come you lost your damn mind?
Barry Allen: Okay. Look, I'm sorry. I'm just...
Cisco Ramon: You're just trying to keep us safe. I know. It's starting to sound real familiar coming out of your mouth.

Clifford DeVoe: How did you beat me?
Barry Allen: I didn't. We did.
Marlize DeVoe: Their emotional attachment to Mr. Dibny have made them stronger than you would ever be, Clifford. But then, you wouldn't understand.
Clifford DeVoe: No! This is not my will!
Ralph Dibny: [speaking through DeVoe] Not anymore. It's mine.

#140

Cisco Ramon: DeVoe must've predicted Harry would build his own thinking cap and power it with the dark matter from this tube.
Barry Allen: Dark matter that he can siphon off S.T.A.R. Labs to use to infect the world. Harry was his guinea pig. He knew if he could reboot Harry's brain, he could reboot everyone's. What about Gideon, could she hack into the satellites?
Cisco Ramon: No, purple haze took her out too. What do we do?
Barry Allen: I don't know.
Iris West-Allen: [walks in the Time Vault with Marlize] It's okay, Barry. I think I do.

#141

Did all of these suits shrink? And why does it smell so bad?

#142

Joe West: Damn.
Iris West-Allen: Dad.
Joe West: You found my spot.
Iris West-Allen: You knew about this?
Joe West: I've been napping in here since day one.
Barry Allen: Uh, well, Nora was gonna stay here, if that's all right with you.
Joe West: Okay, well, now I can get to know my granddaughter.

Barry Allen: Hey, I need your help.
Joe West: That's blunt.

#144

Iris West-Allen: The dagger part still doesn't make sense. I mean, things cannot become metas, right?
Barry Allen: I don't know about that. Our satellite didn't just create new metas. It created meta-tech.
Iris West-Allen: Which puts meta-human abilities in the hands of anyone.

Iris West-Allen: Tripped alarm at Central City Art Gallery. Someone stole a Monet.
Barry Allen: At 10:00 a.m.? That's bold.

Cisco Ramon: No cold signatures in the area. Snow Country for Old Men must be miles away, 'cause he sure as hell isn't in Central City.
Caitlin Snow: Well, we have to find him. I mean, Icicle wouldn't have gone to all this trouble to kill my dad if there wasn't a piece of him still left.
Barry Allen: We'll find him.

Barry Allen: Uh, is it safe for this to be here?
Cisco Ramon: Yeah, a little dark matter never hurt anybody.

Mark Mardon: I didn't know that Joslyn was busting me out. I didn't know she'd do half the things she does. I haven't spoken to her in years.
The Flash: And you expect me to believe she woke up this morning and was like
The Flash: "You know what? I wanna break my dad out of Iron Heights"?

#149

Eobard Thawne: So, who made this?
Barry Allen: Someone smarter than you.
Eobard Thawne: I doubt that. You know, Allen, for your plan to work, you're gonna actually have to have his dagger in your possession.
Barry Allen: We've got that covered.
Eobard Thawne: You've got that covered. How's that?
Nora West-Allen: With this.
Eobard Thawne: Is it... is that...
Barry Allen: A piece of Savitar's suit, yeah.

#150

Barry Allen: You think she should come with me?
Iris West-Allen: Yeah, Barry, I do.
Barry Allen: Iris, if I do this, I'm going back to some crazy times. Savitar, Zoom, Thawne. Speedsters...
Iris West-Allen: Who you've all outsmarted and defeated. Look, this was her idea, Barry. Her solution. And it's a good one. So unless you have a better reason why she should stay back, let her do this.

#151

Oliver Queen: Why are we in your secret prison?
Barry Allen: It's not a prison. It's a Tesla conductor tube that dampens meta-powers... Okay, it's a prison.

Iris West-Allen: Being a parent sure is hard sometimes.
Barry Allen: Yeah, it is. But there's nothing like it.

The Flash: You're never gonna hurt my daughter again.
XS: Dad! No.
XS: Oh, I'm sorry. I let him get away.
The Flash: No. You brought me back.

#154

Sherloque Wells: Which pair would like to volunteer for this mission? I suggest the speedsters for this to be accomplished so quick.
Barry Allen: Yeah.
Sherloque Wells: Elected.
Barry Allen: Hey, if you see a memory of me stealing a blank Scrabble tile, it's not what it looks like, all right?

#155

Barry Allen: Well, what do you think?
Iris West-Allen: Looks great.
Barry Allen: I mean, I can move the couch against the wall, if that'll help.
Barry Allen: Iris, it's just couch in the corner or against the wall is pretty much the extent of my interior design knowledge.

Barry Allen: Sherloque was right. One hour, it's cooked.
Barry Allen: Something happen while I was gone?

#157

Barry Allen: Oh, Lyla, this is, um... my daughter, Nora.
Lyla Michaels: Your daughter?
Barry Allen: Yeah.
Nora West-Allen: I'm from...
Lyla Michaels: The future, I'm guessing.
Nora West-Allen: Weird, right?
Lyla Michaels: No weirder than waking up one day to find out that your son used to be your daughter.

#158

The Flash: I don't want to fight. We have a cure.
Cicada: What are you talking about?
The Flash: We have a way to cure meta-humans. We have a way to take their powers away. We want you to take it.
Cicada: And why would I agree to do that?
The Flash: Your legacy. I know how this ends. You keep killing, and you're remembered as a monster, not a hero. But we can change that together, you can have a different legacy. You just have to choose it.
Cicada: I don't give a damn about my legacy.

#159

I used to think that keeping secrets from people for their own good was a noble decision, that it would protect them. But when you do that, you just rob those people from making their own decisions.

#160

Barry Allen: How was Nora able to see what Grace was seeing?
Caitlin Snow: Nora and Grace seem to be psychically connected. I think it's because of the time that Nora spent in Grace's brain.
Cecile Horton: Is there any sign of her?
Cisco Ramon: No. She definitely ghosted.
Nora West-Allen: What about Vickie and her family?
Cecile Horton: Uh, federal protection. They're gonna be fine. They're getting new identities as we speak.

Eobard Thawne: So she finally came clean. Or did you figure it out all by yourself?
Barry Allen: One wasn't enough? You had to try to take my daughter from me too? MY DAUGHTER!
Eobard Thawne: I knew you'd react like this. You're always so emotional, which is why I had keep all of this from you. You can't blame the Little Runner, Barry. She just wanted to spend time with her dad. Don't hold that against her. Consider it a condemned man's last request.
Barry Allen: You always thought you were so much smarter than us, Thawne. But you lost. And now you're finally gonna get what you deserve.

#162

Barry Allen: What are you doing?
Iris West-Allen: I'm giving our daughter the chance to explain this for herself.

Ralph Dibny: I know how Barry can be. But you guys are like the Meghan and Harry of superhero royalty. Your love is eternal. You two will talk and-and...
Iris West-Allen: We did talk. I want Nora to stay here, he doesn't. How do we solve that?
Cecile Horton: Okay, Iris, honey. I haven't always been in the near-perfect relationship that I'm in now. So take it from someone with experience, the only way you two solve this problem is together. And you're not going to find your answers here.
Iris West-Allen: Yeah, you're right.
Cecile Horton: You need to go after her.
Ralph Dibny: Oh, come on. Give me a break. Have you seen her right hook?
Iris West-Allen: Ralph, she's hurt, I know. But there's something more. I feel it. She's... determined.

XS: Then once we find Cicada to entrap her, we give young Grace the choice to take the cure. And hopefully, when she's no longer a meta...
Killer Frost: That bitch will cease to exist.
XS: That way we can stop her without destroying the dagger, and Thawne never goes free.
The Flash: Now all you have to do is help Grace make the right choice.
XS: What do I say?
The Flash: Whatever's in your heart. She'll listen.
Cecile Horton: What a bunch of sentimental crap. You two sound like a friggin' Hallmark movie.
Killer Frost: I hear you, sister.
Joe West: I think we're close.

#165

Iris West-Allen: Time language.
Barry Allen: Mm-hmm.
Iris West-Allen: No matter what changes with the timeline, that'll never change.
Barry Allen: Yeah. We'll always have this to remember her.

Barry Allen: It's a system-wide power surge.
Iris West-Allen: It's coming from the Time Vault.
Iris West-Allen: Are we under attack?
Barry Allen: I don't know. Whatever's going on started the moment we left.

Joan Williams: Barry. You're with us. William Knox. I've discovered that poetry can stimulate collapsed neural pathways.
Barry Allen: Lady Gaga usually works for me.

#168

Barry Allen: Stop trying to hit me, and hit me. Or why don't you just admit what's hurting you?
Killer Frost: I don't want to die when I've just started living. Okay? I finally have the chance to live a life, and not this stupid Crisis is gonna take it all away?
Barry Allen: I know it's not fair.
Killer Frost: Do you know that Baskin-Robbins has 31 different flavors? I might die before I get to figure out which one is my favorite. Or what my favorite song, or have my first birthday party. 30 years of existing, and I've never had one. That really sucks.
Barry Allen: Frost. There's always going to be a crisis, or some meta-human threatening to take away the life that you love. Truth is, we're all living on borrowed time.
Killer Frost: So, what, does everyone feels this crappy all the time? That actually does kind of make me feel better.
Barry Allen: It's why you can't let the threat of losing tomorrow tomorrow keep you from making the most of today.
Killer Frost: I want to spend the rest of today making sure that Mitch Romero doesn't hurt anyone else.

#169

Barry Allen: What are you talking about? What the hell are you doing?
Cisco Ramon: I'm saving your life. 'Cause someone has to do it.
Barry Allen: Saving Ramsey... Saving Ramsey's my call.
Cisco Ramon: And it's a bad call.
Barry Allen: But it's one I made. Sometimes, as a leader, you have to make tough calls in order to serve the greater good.
Cisco Ramon: You know, I made a tough call. And I made it for you.
Barry Allen: But I told you. You can't save me.
Cisco Ramon: I'm not buying that!
Barry Allen: Well, you have to. Sacrificing myself saves everything and everyone. I've seen it.
Cisco Ramon: And what does that give me to look forward to? Waking up to a world without the Flash? A light without my best friend?
Barry Allen: You get to live. You all get to live.
Cisco Ramon: Don't.
Barry Allen: Look, man, I... I've been dealing this for weeks. Wondering what's gonna happen when I'm gone, how everybody's gonna move on. That's why I wanted us, you and me together, to save Ramsey today.
Cisco Ramon: You wanted us to save a random person so I'd be okay with you dying?
Barry Allen: No. I wanted us to save one person's life so you could understand the tough calls... the sacrifices that a leader has to make. Because you're my pick. You the person I want to run S.T.A.R. Labs and this team when I'm gone.

Ralph Dibny: Hey, I thought you guys fathwoomed out of here.
Barry Allen: We just wanted to make sure you guys were okay holding down the fort while we were gone.
Cisco Ramon: We're good. Rest easy, lovebirds. Team Leader is my new middle name.
Ralph Dibny: What was it before?
Cisco Ramon: Baracus.
Iris West-Allen: As in Barracas, Argentina?
Cisco Ramon: No, as in Mr. T. My mom was a big "A-Team" fan.
Ralph Dibny: Wish mine was. Could've been Hannibal Dibny.
Cisco Ramon: Hannibal? Please. You're Murdock on your best day.

Barry Allen: I'm not gonna give into you.
Dr. Ramsey Rosso: Barry, you misjudge me. I'm just here to enjoy with good friends and perhaps offer you a gift.
Barry Allen: What can you possibly offer me?
Iris West-Allen , Caitlin Snow , Cisco Ramon , Ralph Dibny , Joe West: Everything.

#172

Bloodwork: Any last words before your death?
The Flash: I just want to enjoy the time I have left.

#173

Killer Frost: Hey, uh... where's the scary guy who tried to kill us all?
The Flash: He won't get far.

Barry Allen: Look, I know you don't want me to run you there, but it's a 20-hour plane ride.
Barry Allen: That's too much.
John Diggle: What you got?

#175

Wally West: I've been looking for you, man. I thought maybe you'd be home.
Barry Allen: No. I'm not ready to tell Iris. I'm not ready to tell anyone. I found out what really happened to the Speed Force. It died because of what I did in Crisis. I took the Spectre's energy so I could enter the Speed Force. His energy started a meltdown, and now it's gone, Wally... For good because of what I did.
Wally West: You were trying to save the universe. Any hero would have made that call. I would've made that call.

#176

Sunshine: Come out, come out, wherever you are.
Sunshine: No.
Barry Allen: Yep. You're helio-kinetic. So without the sunlight, you're just an ordinary thief. Limits suck, don't they?

#177

The Flash: I didn't think you were coming.
Pied Piper: I didn't save you so we could chat.

#178

The Flash: Hartley, thanks for coming after me.
Pied Piper: Yeah, don't mention it. You won another battle against some speed freak, and I lost everything.
The Flash: Look, I promise we'll figure something out.

#179

He can control the weather, there were robberies during freak meteoric events, when I confronted him, street enveloped in fog, of course you don't believe me, you never did believe me

#180

Yeah, I may be the one in the suit doing all the running... but when I'm out there helping people, making a difference... you're all out there with me. Finally realized something: we were all struck by that lightning.

#181

Meet me on the roof. I'll give you a head start.

#182

To be continued. Gotta run.

#183

Barry Allen: You think I'll ever wear it again?
Caitlin Snow: I hope so.
Barry Allen: I didn't have my speed for very long, but now that it's gone, it feels like part of me is gone, too.
Caitlin Snow: With or without your speed, you're still you, Barry.
Barry Allen: But I'm not. I'm not the best version of me. I love being the Flash. I love everything about it. The feeling of running hundreds of miles per hour, wind and power just rushing past my face, being able to help people. I'm not sure I can live without it, Caitlyn.

Barry Allen: Dad. If I was The Flash, don't you think that you'd be the first to know about it?
Henry Allen: Yeah. Well, if The Flash were my son, I'd tell him a few things. First off, I'd tell him it's a dangerous world, so be careful. Then I'd tell him he's a hero. And he's saving a lot of lives. But the most important thing for him to know, I feel, is that his father's proud of him.

#185

Linda Park: So, is this your place? It's awesome.
Barry Allen: Yeah. Well, not entirely. I grew up here. Is it really lame that I live at home?
Linda Park: Not at all. I still live with my parents.
Barry Allen: Really?
Linda Park: No. That would be so lame.

#186

Dr. Tina McGee: Fifteen years ago, Harrison and I were thick as thieves. We were promising young scientists in Starling City. He was such a kind man. Then everything changed after Tess died.
Barry Allen: They were gonna get married?
Dr. Tina McGee: I understand how grief can affect something, but this was more than that. It was like, after that day, Harrison Wells became a completely different person.

#187

I'm getting faster, faster than I've ever been, and I wonder if it's because lately something's chasing me. I know what it is that's stalking me. It's my past. It's getting closer, and as fast as I am, I can't help but feel like my past has almost caught up with me.

#188

Iris West: So are you gonna do it?
Barry Allen: It's just so... huge. It's the biggest decision of my life, and if I'm wrong, I can't undo it.
Iris West: Why would you want to? I mean, you'd get to see your mom again, your dad, have a great career, even get married. Iris West-Allen, huh? I never really thought of myself as a hyphenator. Must be a 2024 thing.

Iris West: People just want to thank the man who saved Central City.
Barry Allen: Well they can't, 'cause that's not me. You should know that better than anyone.

#190

Sometimes great possibilities are right in front of us and we don't see them because we choose not to. I think that we need to be open to exploring something new.

#191

Sometimes the only way to move forward is to revisit the things in your past that were holding you back. You have to deal with them head on, no matter how scary they may be, because, once you do, you'll see that you can go further than you ever imagined.

#192

Hunter Zolomon: I told you family was a weakness. You feel the anger, don't you, Flash? And now... the two of us ARE the same.
Barry Allen: No! No!
Hunter Zolomon: There you go, Flash! Use your anger, just like I did.

#193

Cisco Ramon: So, the reason you didn't have your powers is because there was a dampener in the mask. You see?
Jay Garrick: I don't want to see this thing ever again.
Cisco Ramon: So your powers are back.
Joe West: I see Jay - excuse me - Hunter stole your color scheme too.
Jay Garrick: He stole a lot of things that were mine, except for that. That's, um - that's all him.
Iris West: He said it was his father's from the war.
Dr. Harry Wells: Ironically, on my - on our Earth - this helmet stood for hope.
Jay Garrick: Yeah?
Dr. Harry Wells: Yeah.
Jay Garrick: Maybe I can continue on that sentiment, take something from him, for a change, make it my own.
Caitlin Snow: It suits you.
Jay Garrick: Thank you, all of you, for saving me from Zoom, especially you, Flash.
Barry Allen: You're welcome, Flash.
Jay Garrick: Now all I have to do is find my way home.
Wally West: And where's that?
Jay Garrick: I think you would call it Earth-3.
Cisco Ramon: Uh-huh. Well, I can get you to Earth-2.
Dr. Harry Wells: My daughter and I can help you with the rest.
Jesse Wells: We can?
Dr. Harry Wells: Yes, we can. We're going home.

Barry Allen: But there is a lesson in there somewhere.
Jesse Wells: What's that?
Barry Allen: The difference between having powers and precision.
Jesse Wells: Well, what do you mean?
Barry Allen: I mean, it's gonna take more than speed to take down some of these metas. You got to think, anticipate. When you enter a new environment, you got to case every inch of it. Never run in blind. Oh, my God. I've become Oliver.

Iris West: I forgot this place existed.
Barry Allen: Yeah. The original Wells used to call it his Time Vault. I've been coming down here a lot lately; I guess I've become as obsessed with the future as he once was.
Barry Allen: After Flashpoint happened, this article reappeared.
Iris West: "Flash Missing. Vanishes in Crisis". Julie Greer, April 25, 2024. I don't...
Barry Allen: The byline used to read "Iris West-Allen". The future's changed.
Iris West: So maybe I quit my job.
Barry Allen: Yeah, that's what I'd hoped at first, too, or something. But, I... look, Iris, I'm sorry I didn't tell you this sooner. When I threw the Philosopher's Stone into the Speed Force, I accidentally ran to the future. I saw Savitar murder you. And I saw myself, and I wasn't fast enough to save you.

Nora shouldn't be here.

#197

I'm just catching up on all the TV I missed while I was stuck in the Speed Force. When you've been gone six months, the world is a minefield of spoilers. But Cisco hooked me up with a 1000-times sped up version of my favorite shows. Aw, Jon Snow died. Oh, he's alive!

#198

Iris West: What's this?
Barry Allen: A restraining order. I have to stay 500 feet away from Clifford DeVoe.
Iris West: And are you going to?
Iris West: Barry, this is not you. You've got to stop.
Barry Allen: I can't.
Iris West: You can't or you won't?
Barry Allen: I don't know anymore. I've faced a lot of bad guys, people that would hurt the ones that I love, destroy everything good in the world and think nothing of it, but this guy, he feels more dangerous than all the others combined. And we still barely know anything about him. It scares the hell out of me, Iris.

Don't run.

#200

I don't have to run when I'm with you.

#201

My name is Barry Allen. And, I'm an innocent man. I know that you'll find my fingerprints all over his body, and I know that you'll find his DNA on mine. But, I don't know... Who stabbed him, or how he ended up in my loft. All I can tell you is I'm being framed, for something I didn't do. I didn't kill Clifford DeVoe.

#202

Barry Allen: Is Cisco having any luck figuring out how to bypass the system? Because once he does that, I could phase out of here. I could help you track him.
Joe West: Barry, you need to stay put for now. Trickster is just a messed-up kid. We can handle him.
Barry Allen: No, I know, of course. I just... I'm already tired of feeling useless, you know?
Joe West: The only thing you should focus on in here is watching your back. Pretty sure cops can't touch inmates. Otherwise, I'd give you a hug. Stay strong, Bar.

#203

Big Sir: What you're peddling. It's dangerous.
Barry Allen: W-what's dangerous?
Big Sir: Hope. I've been in here long enough to understand that in prison, hope is the most dangerous thing.
Barry Allen: Wait, did you get that from "Shawshank"?
Big Sir: No. I got that from being in prison. Tell your friends to stop wasting their time.

#204

Becky Sharpe: Using my powers just hurt those around me. My good luck just jinxed everyone else. You know, you seem to really care about people - not like the type of person who'd take someone's life.
Barry Allen: I didn't kill that teacher. I wouldn't take a life. You know, not every meta uses their powers to hurt people. Some use to help others, to protect people. Our powers don't decide who we are. We do.

#205

Barry Allen: Has anyone seen Ralph today?
Caitlin Snow: No, he's downstairs moving in. He is very nervous.
Dr. Harry Wells: I don't know why.
Cisco Ramon: I don't know why, either. He's a superhero. People with powers are ready for anything.
Cisco Ramon: Ah! Son of a breach!

Ralph Dibny: Good old CCTA, bus number 405, where I was gifted with pretty much the best powers ever. If it wasn't for this old girl, I'd still have to leave the couch when I need to use the bathroom, you know, because I can...
Barry Allen: Yes, I know.

#207

Leo Snart: I got to say, on any Earth, Snarts have style. Perfect fit.
Barry Allen: Thought you could do something with it.
Caitlin Snow: You wear it well.
Leo Snart: Thank you. You sure you can't come to the wedding? I could put all of you at a table with Ray's uncle Skip. He murders the Macarena.

#208

Barry Allen: All right, look, I think we take Highway 14. It's as rural as we're gonna get. And it's a straight shot to New Brighten. Best chance to get Fallout to safety.
Leo Snart: Sounds like a plan, Barry. You know how I feel about plans.

#209

Barry Allen: What's that?
Caitlin Snow: I whipped up this cocktail of atomized DTPA and potassium iodide. It should flood our thyroids with enough non-radioactive iodine so that if our containment suit doesn't work, it should offer us some protection from radiation.
Leo Snart: Some protection. How vaguely reassuring.

Clifford DeVoe: "Once upon in some remote corner of that universe, there was a star upon which clever beasts invented knowing."
The Flash: You're quoting Nietzsche at me?
Clifford DeVoe: You destroyed a satellite. Top marks, quick boy. You can destroy a thousand more and you will still march closer to the Enlightenment.
The Flash: I forget what Nietzsche said about wiping minds. I must've skipped philosophy class...
Clifford DeVoe: Did I teach you nothing this year? Has nothing pierced your thick cowl? Think of it. Or rather don't. You'll just end up hurting yourself, so let me explain. A world enlightened. Within a day, all soldiers will lay down their arms. Every nuclear weapon will be disarmed within six months. Poverty, famine, disease - eradicated. We will clean up the streets. People will put down their idiot phones and become curious again, and I will be there to teach them. *I* - not you - will save this godforsaken world.
The Flash: No, you'll just control it. You want to take away free will.
Clifford DeVoe: A pittance for humanity to pay to know peace.
The Flash: But we won't know each other. Parents wouldn't remember their kids. Husbands won't remember their wives.
Clifford DeVoe: Good. You hit upon precisely the point. Emotion is the father of all error. Chemicals in our brain that distract us, impede progress. And the most destructive and ridiculous imbalance of all is that thing you feebles call love. I learned this from experience, Mr. Allen. And soon... you will too.

#211

Barry Allen: I think I understand how you're feeling. Sometimes our powers are so extraordinary, it makes our mistakes feel amplified, especially guilt.
Nora West-Allen: But I should feel guilty. I've never messed up this badly before, and I can't stop thinking about it.
Barry Allen: That's just 'cause you care. It's okay, it's a good thing. But... Nora, if every time you make a mistake, you just rush in to fix it, you're only gonna make things worse. Trust me, I know that better than anyone. You just gotta have a little more patience. Take a moment, think before you act, fix the problem the right way.

#212

But secrets are like walls, and... you can't really know someone with walls between you.

#213

Barry Allen: I've got a cold spike.
Sherloque Wells: That's quite a stack of needles.

#214

XS: You still don't trust me.
Barry Allen: Nora, trust takes time.
XS: Then what's to stop you from sending me back the next time you get pissed at me? Nothing. Because you've given up on me again. Given up on me like you do every time!
Barry Allen: Nora, what are you doing?
XS: You know, I came back here to meet you. And the second I got here, you started pushing me away. And then you left me in the future. You just dumped me in the middle of the street and walked away!
Barry Allen: You have to stop.
XS: And you didn't come back with mom to bring me back. Because you don't want me here. You don't want me at all!
Barry Allen: Nora, please.
XS: I hate you!

#215

Ralph Dibny: All right, so, this is the original timeline with the original Cicada, David Hersch. This is the night of the Enlightenment, when Nora interfered with the satellite, giving us our Cicada, Orlin Dwyer. That's also the same night that Grace goes into a coma. This is where it gets complicated. At some point in the future, Grace wakes up, she becomes her own full-fledged Cicada. She goes bac in time, she kills her Uncle with his own dagger. What happens to all the metas that Dwyer killed? Do they get un-killed? What about all the meta that Grace killed in the future? What did she kill them with? And most importantly, what happens in the timeline where Grace never killed Dwyer. Something doesn't add up.
Barry Allen: You might be right. But right now, there won't be any future for any metas if we don't get rid of that dagger. Now. This is our last chance. We have to figure out how to find Grace. Or we lose everyone.

#216

Iris West-Allen: Do you think we made the right decision leaving Nora out of this? I mean, the whole reason she came back was to fight Cicada in the first place.
Barry Allen: We're her parents, all right? It's our job to protect her from harm. The best way to do that is just to keep her far away from it.

I'm never gonna leave you. Even when I'm gone.

#218

Barry Allen: Please tell me you went home at some point.
Cisco Ramon: I knew I smelled SPF-90. How was it?
Iris West-Allen: Amazing. 15 beaches in 24 hours, one of the many perks of marrying a speedster.

Name's Allen. Barry Allen.

#220

Flash-90: Sorry, kid, but this has to happen.
The Flash: Barry, what are you doing?
Flash-90: I'm momentarily stealing your speed. You play the speedster game long enough, you learn some neat tricks.
Killer Frost: Wait, why are you doing this?
Flash-90: Novu said the Flash must die in Crisis. He never said which one.

#221

Iris West-Allen: Her. Dr. Komiyo Hoshi.
Cisco Ramon: Hoshi... She went missing 4 years ago. She's an astronomer out of Tokyo with the power to fuel starlight, but her meta-powers aren't precise enough to do the kind of damage you showed me in those photos.
Kamilla Hwang: What if she used the Photon rifle to focus them?
Cisco Ramon: Good thinking, maybe the reflector chip could condense her UV photon emissions.
Kamilla Hwang: The rifle is the weapon.
Cisco Ramon: No, she's the ammunition.
Allegra Garcia: So Black Hole turned her into some kind of evil light doctor.
Cisco Ramon: So we've got a brand new, more powerful, murder-happy Dr. Light on our hands. Another new meta surprise courtesy of Earth frakking Prime.

Cisco Ramon: Jitters just re-opened and was immediately attacked by terrorists. Why am I not surprised?
Killer Frost: I'll go bail out those latte-sippers.
Barry Allen: Guys, I got this.

Iris West-Allen: Surprise, babe.
Barry Allen: Yeah, wow. This is not a banana.
Iris West-Allen: I know Valentine's Day isn't for a couple days, but I thought why not? Let me surprise my hubby before some meta of the week strikes.

Kara and Lex Luthor? Man, this post-Crisis world gets harder to understand every day.

#225

The Flash: Hartley Rathaway. Since when are you a diamond thief?
Pied Piper: It's Pied Piper, Flash. You're really gonna ask me that after what you and your friends did to me?
The Flash: Uh, what did we do?
Allegra Garcia: Wow, Flash. My brother, that is epically cold. How do you not remember? It was really bad.
The Flash: Oh, great. Another Crisis change.
Pied Piper: Apparently, there is something else you didn't remember. The gauntlets are just my backup singers.
The Flash: Wait, what?
The Flash: Great. He can fly now.

#226

The Flash: You're not gonna make anyone suffer anymore, Merkel, no matter how much Black Hole's paying you.
Rag Doll: Pay? Don't care about money.
The Flash: If you're not trying to kill Joe for money, why are you doing this?
Rag Doll: Oh, release. Mother's dead. Heart attack. No one left to suffer now. Except myself. Thank you, Flash, for helping me suffer. Any second now, release comes with kaboom!

#227

Barry Allen: Now you're gonna kill me?
Eva McCulloch: There's no need for that. You're wounded. You lost your speed. And your healing is not what it used to be. You're not much of a threat, are you? You just stay out of my way, Flash, and I'll stay out of yours. I have unfinished business to attend to. And a whole world to liberate.

#228

The Flash: You're gonna let us go?
Eva McCulloch: Of course. I've achieved my goal for today.
The Flash: We'll never stop coming after you.
Eva McCulloch: You'll fail. This building, this company... it's all mine. And you and your little friends are trespassing, so... run along now, Barry, before I have to call the police.

#229

Eva McCulloch: You and I are not enemies. We never have been.
The Flash: You just killed him in cold blood.
Eva McCulloch: Your wife set out to catch a bad man. She couldn't. But together, we could. We're on the same side.
The Flash: No.
Eva McCulloch: Just remember that.
